Anyways, since most of you guys can't make it on 5th and 6th. i think the activity day will probably in week 3! no more drag. it will definitely not be in week one as some of hse have bsp camp and trip :x Suggest a date if you can, no obligations! :D

I want to post up some details of the activity day. Please tag if you have any problems with it.

Activity Day 08

Date: 5^th and 6^th June 2008

Location: 5^th June = Sentosa

6^th June = Pasir Ris Park

5^th June ( not compulsory )

Activities plan:

Free and Easy, most probably at the beach at Sentosa

6th june ( likely to be compulsory )

Activities plan:

Afternoon = Photo Marathon

Night = BBQ

Ice Breakers

Photo marathon - Given a limited time of 2 hours, we will have to race against time, yet maximizing our creativity to its fullest in the way we shoot the shots. This also allows us to have hands-on experience on the cameras and allow us to have fun at the same time.

Bbq - A IT’em tradition. Every year, IT’em outing will end off with a bbq. At this time, we will be able to mix around and have fun together.

Activity details: (2 pm to late night)

Photo Marathon ( 2.40 – 4.15 with ice breaks before)

Members present will be broken up into small groups of four-six and each group will be given a SLR (if possible, borrow from school)

Rule: Each person must take at least one person and everyone should have an equal share of time to take photos.

The camera each group takes will be recorded down by the organizers and each group will be responsible for the camera that is assigned to them.

Rule: no exchanging of cameras is allowed.

Within a limited time of 2 hours, they will not be able to go anywhere out of Pasir Ris Park.

The theme would be freedom of thoughts. We will be able to take any pictures that we personally feel will show the theme. Alternatively, within the two hours time frame, the group can also choose to take pictures to do storytelling through a series of shot to exercise their creativity.

After 2 hours, we will gather back at the bbq pit.

Criteria for judgement of winning photo will be :

Composition

Exposure

Framing

Creativity/Novelty/Out of the box

The three groups that won will be announced after 1 hour, in which the people will be able to play around the beach. The other groups who did not win, will be given forfeit.

Prizes: None. The groups will not suffer the forfeit (that will be their prize)

Forfeit: (4.15 – 4.30, followed by free time for members to bond with frisbee game etc. then bbq from 7 to late)

( The plan is still tentative, fear not. Unhappy? Propose. )

launch of dhsrobotics blog

This is our first-ever item blog after the f2o server is down awhile ago. Rejoice!

The purpose of this blog is to lighten the workload of level coordinator as we put up information here. Club members can easily update themselves about the happenings in the club.

I will update the blog soon about who will be the respective heads soon (eg. RR head)

Basically, we can use this blog to spread info or just share anything interesting for the club members. If you have a hilarious picture about yankai or something, this is your space man! (:
